  1.   Telling the truth lets everyone know what really happened. There is a less chance of misunderstanding. confusion, or conflict.
  2.  Telling the truth protects innocent people from being blamed or punished.
  3.  Tell the truth allows everyone to learn from what happened.
  4.  You usually get into less trouble for telling the truth other than lying (and getting caught)
  5.  Other people trust you more when you tell the truth.
  6.  You don't have to tell (and remember) more lies to keep you story straight.
  7.  You gain a reputation for being truthful - a trait most people value.
  8.  Telling the truth helps you feel secure and peaceful inside.
     It is important to always tell the truth, no matter how hard it can be. Eventually, the truth always comes out. There is no way to keep it hidden forever, someday people will know. Also, people like to hear the truth instead of lies, even if the truth hurts you must still say it. All of the eight reason why you should not lie are great and should always be kept in mind. For example, if you are took you sister charger and accidentally lost it. You know that she is going to get mad so you say that you do not know you haven't gotten it. However, you sister does not believe you and then later on you forget what you had said and say that you saw your sister take it. Lies keep coming and coming and you end up saying the truth and everyone is mad at you because you lied. So, you see why is is important that you say the truth. It gets you our of less trouble, people will come to you for the truth because they know that you will give it to them, and you do not have to keep lying.
