"A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder." - Thomas Carlyle   Without goals in your life, you will have no where to go. Goals that you have set determine where you end up and accomplish. For example, you have a goal to earn straight a's all throughout your freshmen year. What do you do to? You work hard, ask for help, and do whatever you need to to accomplish this. However, if you do not have any goals, you will not have anything to look forward to, nothing to achieve. A person without goals follows a made road, going where every the road takes them. On the other hand a person with goals created their own road, there own pathway. They will do whatever it takes to achieve their goal. It is good to keep a goal journal, somewhere they can write there goals and keep track of the things they accomplished and the ones they still need to. Have goals, create you own path, do not be ship without a rudder.

                            Trauma Nurse                                          Duties and Responsibilities:      They work in the emergency room and responds to the most critical and life threatening cases. Trauma nurses think on their feet and respond quickly to the cases. They must be able to cope with stress and demands of the job. Trauma nurses work in hospitals. Salary:      The annual wage for a trauma nurse is $60,000. Education:      In order to become a trauma nurse you must acquire all educational requirements. These consists of a basic nursing program ( 2-3 years), bachelor of science is nursing, 1000 clinical hours in emergency unit, licensed and certified. Reflection:      The career pathway of a trauma nurse seems a bit interesting. However, I would not like to become one. This job is interesting because they work in the emergency room, where there are critical cases. I would not like to become a trauma nurse because I would not be the one performing the surge

"Do not make wishes, make accomplishments ." - Jennifer Pimentel    Over the years, there will be many things you desire to have or be. The only way to get this is to stop wishing and start doing something to make it a reality. Wishing does not make anything become true, they are just thoughts in your heads. Accomplishments however, they are things that you successfully completed, something you accomplished. For example, my sister told me one day, I wish I had a car of my own. So I told her, the get a job, do good in school, get your career, and then you will have enough money to get your car. In addition, when I was younger would tell myself, "I wish I had a dog" so I learned that I had to stop telling myself that and start trying to make it become true. I began bugging my parents and trying to convince them to get me one. Finally, October of 2017 they finally agreed. I also learned that people need to believe in themselves that they can do anything they set t

                           MEMORIAL DAY                              Memorial Day is celebrated annually on the last Monday of May. This day is to remember the fallen, those who died serving our country.  During Memorial Day 41.5 million Americans plan to travel, 36.6 million will go by car and 3.13 will travel by plane. In addition, 90%+ close their companies on this day. A few ways to show honor and respect on Memorial Day is to wear or display a red poppy, pause at 3 pm, display the U.S. flag, attend a parade, pray for the fallen, and visit a memorial. A red poppy symbolizes the solders who dies in conflict. I plan to honor them by pausing a 3 pm and taking the time to reflect on their sacrifices and all that they've done for this country.         I believe that everyone should take the time to be thankful and grateful for all those fallen soldiers who took risked their life to serve this country. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world. Conclusion : If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world. Chinese Proverb    Character is what you are made of, what defines who you are. If there us beauty in character then there will be peace in the world. The whole world need peace, everyone needs peace. In order to get peace you must have beauty in your character. This means that you are respectful, responsible, fair, caring, trustworthy, and a great citizen. For example, you see that there is a lot of trash thrown outside on your way back home. A sport medicine physician diagnoses patients, treats patients, prescribes medicine, and performs surgery.  Salary:      The median annual salary for a sport medicine physician since 2016 is $214,273.  Education:      In order to become a sport medicine physician you must obtain a Doctor of Medicine degree or a Doctor of osteopathic medicine degree and they need to be licensed.  Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one?      The career pathway of a sports medicine physician does seem interesting to me. This career does pay very good money. In addition, they work with athletes and I like to watch and play soccer sometimes. However, I would not like to come. "When a deep injury is done us, never recover until we forgive." - Alan Paton   Forgive:  To stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake.                                                                      Forgiving can be a hard thing to do, but it is the only way to recover. When one is deeply hurt or injured giving forgiveness is the key to be able to be happy again. If you never forgive, you will always be bitter, mean, and have no happiness in your life. Having hate inside of you does not do you or the person any good. For example, you tell your sister to buy you chips from the store and she says okay. She comes back and says that she forgot. You are now mad at her. However, you then think about it and tell yourself that being mad at her and not forgiving  her is not going to bring you chips. It is okay to forgive everyone needs to learn how to do so. They are just asking you to forgive them, not to forget.

Some of their duties include evaluating levels of speech, creating a treatment plan, working with children and adults, and counseling families as well as individuals. Education:      In order to become a speech pathologist you must earn a master's degree, graduation from accredited program, and state license.  Demand or Need:      They are certain skills that are necessary to have such as analytical skills, communication skills, compassion, critical thinking skills, detail oriented, and listening skills. Social workers help patients adjust to changes and challenges, respond to crisis, maintain files, follow up with clients, provide service, and more. Education:      To become a social worker you must acquire a bachelor's degree in social work, some require a master's degree, and need to be licensed. Demand or Need:      A social worker should have the skills of being emotional, interpersonal, organized, have problem solving and communication skills. Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one?      No, the career pathway of a social worker is something that I would not like to be. However, my sister does want to become that and is going to college of that. I myself, am not into communication . I would rather preform surgery.

"Dare to stand alone. Stand up even for what     is right, even if you stand alone."       -Thomas S. Monson    In this world, there will be many times where you may have to stand alone. It is okay to do so, only if it is the right thing to do. Throughout your life there will be a peer pressure, bad comments, names people call you, and most of all knowing to stand up for what is right. For example, your cousin bought a bottle of vodka and all your cousins are drinking. Then, they tell you to drink some and you say NO. So, they start pressuring you to take a shot, they begin saying good too shoes, etc. However, you already have your mind set that you are not going to ever drink in your entire life, so you decide to say no and get out of the room. It is better to stand up alone, for the things that you believe in than stay with those who are choosing the wrong. It is important to always keep your mind set, goals in check, and remember to stand up for yourself and others. 

                        Respiratory Therapist                                        Duties and Responsibilities:      They provide care for patients who have respiratory problems. Respiratory Therapist interview and examine patients, perform diagnostic test, monitor and record patients progress, consult with physicians, and teach patients different methods and medication use. Salary:      the median annual pay for a respiratory therapist since 2017 is $59,710. Education:      To become a respiratory therapist you must earn an associate's degree. However, most employers prefer those with a bachelor's degree. Also, a completion of a  program may be needed for license. Respiratory therapist must have a license and a certificate is recommenced.  Demand or Need:      There are skills that are important that a respiratory therapist must have. "I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating"- Sophocles      There is no doubt that everyone hates to fail. Failing is like falling into a hole and not being able to climb out of it. However, it is better to fail honestly, honorably, and giving it all you have than to win by cheating. For example, there is a test for math and you did not really study must last night. When you get the test you try as hard as you can to try to pass it and you do not cheat. On the other hand, you see that the person next to you has a cheat sheet. The next class meeting you see that you failed the test and the other person aced the test. you felt good about yourself because you knew that you tried and did not cheat like the other person. It is important to always be honest and truthful in all the things that you do because in the end, the truth will come out eventually. Also, when you cheat, you lose more than you win because your conscience will always be there to remind yo

They heal physical trauma, mental trauma, and support mental clarity. Reiki is a spiritually life-force energy. Salary:      The median annual salary for a Reiki master since 2015 is $38,040. Education:      To become a reiki master you must acquire all educational requirements. These requirements consts of going to an attunement process. Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one?      The career pathway of a Reiki master does seem interesting. However, I would not like to become one myself. There are many reasons to why I would not like to be one. For example, I would not like to be doing the same thing everyday for the rest of my life. Also, the pay is not the best. Although, I would like to go to a reiki master.

Always keeping your goals in mind and making them happen is the best thing you can do. If by any chance you get off the wrong path and decide that you do not have correct goals, stop yourself and find the right path. For example, you decide that you are going to help your mom after school with grocery shopping. Instead, you say, "forget it, my mom can do it on her own." You are not pursing your goals, you are failing them. However, if you complete your chores, always do your homework, have good grades, and are achieving your goals that you have in mind, you are pursing your goals the best way that you know how. Money, love, happiness are important but it is not the most important. Without good values you will not be able to achieve or receive any of those three. For example, having good values means you have true friends, are self reliable, set standards, ect. Sometimes feelings get in the way of good values. For example, if you see someone that someone dropped money on the floor and you feel like you need to  keep that money instead of thinking about other's feelings. If people did not have or set good values, this world would be a disaster. However, since everyone has good values, the world is not a bad place.
